Spend the day at Chula’s Beach Club, with round-trip transport from a Cozumel cruise port or downtown area, all-you-can-eat lunch, domestic drinks, a freshwater pool, kayaks, paddle boards and an inflatable water park. The club operates from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Expect a sociable, family-friendly setting, though the shoreline is rocky and the wooden loungers can be hard on your back.

“Was a bit tricky finding our driver once through the busy port but smooth ride to the beach with baby in van. Chulas was fun but 100% tourist trap. We went there because we had our family and a baby and thought it would be easier to have all inclusive, but it was so crowded and the water is quite rocky. Swimming out to the floats and water slides was WORTH IT. Although the food and drinks were included, it took a while to get our orders and the food was just ok. Drinks were pretty weak but it was a place to relax in a hammock on the beach…”

But the details also describe Playa Mia’s pools, slides, and floating park, while some recent accounts say those attractions were unavailable or at another venue. Confirm the exact location and inclusions before booking.

“My only complaint is that it was hard to locate the meeting place for the transportation. You have to go thru the terminal and cross the taxi lane and meet in front of the Royal Shopping Center, The beach was nice. The food was good. My grands had a blast in the pool. Lots of seaweed in the ocean that day.”

Every stop was well organized and made simpler by the guide’s knowledge and preparation. I was very happy we did not try to visit each location ourselves. Plus it was so nice to get to chat with a local. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone.”

“Let me say that the staff at Kuza was very nice but that's pretty much the only positive for me. Taxi rides to and from the park were very expensive. Pretty much predatory and there is absolutely no mention of that cost when booking the excursion. Just FYI it cost $65 for 2 adults and 3 kids one way. We were told we could negotiate but once they know you have reservations, you're at their mercy. When we arrived at Kuza, we were taken back to the beach and told that our Mexican flavors class was at 9:15am and then another staff member told us 9:30. We arrived around 9:20…”
