★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 305 reviews · 5 hours (approx.) · from $75Our pick

Spend about five hours touring Cozumel by buggy with an English-speaking guide. Hear Mayan stories at the SEDENA stop, taste artisan tequila at Mi Mexico Lindo, then visit the east coast’s El Mirador and Chen Rio. Guides including Bernie, Bernardo, and Victor have tailored days to guests’ interests, though lunch and optional extras are not included.

“Our guide Victor was the perfect host for a wonderful day touring Cozumel. A quick 45 minute ferry from Playa del Carmen offered a great day trip that did not disappoint. A great mix of Mayan history, tequila tasting, exploring the coast with a stop at a local beachfront taco stand for the absolute best fish tacos I've ever had, and snorkeling in the crystal clear waters where we saw so many beautiful fish and even a stingray! Victor seems to know everyone on the island, including the other tour guides who all mentioned he was the best of the best and we agree. What a day!”

“Coco Adventours was very professional with all communications. Antonio was our tour guide. He was prompt, personal and very knowledgeable about the island. He kept us on a great schedule and we had plenty of time to arrive back to the ship which was one of my concerns when not booking through the ship. All places we visited he introduced us and they were very nice and not pushy or disrespectful. We loved each stop to the Punta Sur Park to enjoy the crocodiles and the lighthouse. Learned about the Myan people and their life. Viewed several beautiful beaches. Toured and learned about the making of chocolate and tequilla. Then…”

“Once the tour started it was good. Wasn’t expecting to have to pay $20pp before leaving. In the description it mentions tickets aren’t included, but would be nice to know how much is expected. Once we got that taken care of, Ricardo was great! Drove a dune buggy car to grab ATV to ride to Cenote, then Tequila shop, then went to the Mayan Ruins site, then off to the beach. Had access to the beach chairs and umbrellas, Lunch (chicken fajitas were included) we ordered more and drinks, pools, snorkeling, Marketplace, and then was dropped back off near the port.”

An English-speaking guide shares cultural context, then you can sample several tequila flavors. Round-trip transport, water, helmets, and goggles are included. Village admission costs $20 extra.

“Die Fahrzeit mit den Quads ist viel zu kurz für den Preis. Dann musste man noch 20 Dollar extra für den Eintritt in das Mayadorf bezahlen. Aber man hatte gar keine Wahl weil es dort startet. Würde es nicht mehr buchen. Das ist der zweite Event den ich hier gebucht habe und schon wieder Nix gewesen. Mal sehen ob es morgen besser ist.”
