Cozumel: El Cielo, Palancar Reef, and Beach Party with Food

2.El Cielo, Palancar Reef, and Beach Party with Food

★★★★★★★★★★4.4 · 257 reviews · from $97

Spend five hours aboard a 65-foot Fury catamaran, snorkeling Palancar Reef and the shallow, starfish-dotted waters of El Cielo before heading to Fury Private Beach. Lunch, snorkel gear, a tube to keep, and beach toys are included. Beer and margaritas are served after snorkeling; transportation to the pier is not.

“Excellent trip, it was well worth the money with free flowing drinks and a laid back relaxed atmosphere… snorkelling was excellent and so was the beach club. Most of our trips in Mexico where overpriced and not worth it except this one.”

3.E-Bike City Tour though Cozumel & Taco Tasting Tour

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 155 reviews · 3 hours (approx.) · from $75

Ride an e-bike through Cozumel with an English-speaking local guide, stopping at churches, a central park, island monuments, and a beach area before a three-taco lunch at Guisados. The tour lasts about three hours, includes a helmet, reflective vest, and bottled water, and is limited to 12 people. Gris, Chris, Johnny, and Milton have guided past outings, but your guide is not guaranteed.

“Interacting with Johnny, our tour guide was the best part of this excursion. He was a down-to-earth, well informed person of Cozumel history. He kept us safe as we followed behind him on the crazy traffic roads. We went to 4 main areas by the church, the goddess statue, a genuine black coral sculpture ( I was able to buy an earring souvenir ) and by the park closer to the beach to have some yummy authentic tacos. Keeping up with the pace of the island felt way easier on the e-bikes. Would recommend this in Top 5 things to do in Cozumel!”

From San Francisco Beach Club, a private boat takes your group of up to five to Cozumel reef and sandbar stops, including Palancar, Colombia, El Cielo, and El Cielito when conditions allow. Expect supplied snorkel gear, an in-water guide, and fresh ceviche, guacamole, fruit, and drinks. Guides such as Manuel, Alex, Victor, and Ruben have helped families spot turtles, rays, and reef fish.

“We absolutely LOVED our time in Cozumel with Victor and Ruben. We saw beautiful sea life in 3 different spots with the last spot definitely our favorite. They called it Heaven and it had to be close. Pristine crystal clear water with stingrays that were not aggressive but just swam by. Victor and Ruben prepared a amazing dish of ceviche that was super fresh as well as yummy guac and fresh fruit that we enjoyed. They had cerveza, water and soft drinks. This excursion was personal and special because there wasn't a ton of people on board. Would definitely go again next time we are in Cozumel!!”

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 38 reviews · 3 hours (approx.) · from $81

Meet at Monina Restaurant at 9:00 am for a safety briefing, then use a sea scooter to snorkel Cozumel’s Caribbean waters with a guide nearby. Afterward, hear a Mayan presentation, watch a dance, and sample homemade tequila, chocolate and salsa before a local meal. Groups are capped at four, and guides such as Adolfo and Memo have helped beginners feel at ease.

“Aldolpho was amazing. He made the excursion memorable and definitely in my top three of all time. He was patient and physically made sure that we didn't slip on any rocks getting in or out of our snorkeling area. He showed us how to use the sea scooter and kept a close eye on us for safety. Along the way. He pointed out fish and starfish. I swam through school's of fish 🐟 and meandered through the beach waters. Lunch was delicious. Too much fun for two oldies. If we can do this adventure (with Aldolpho's help), then so can you!”
